“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” - Seneca

Leadership is greater than luck.

If dedication and preparation are the building blocks for success, experience is the substance that holds them together. The LEADERship provides the opportunity to learn from others experience – giving you the advantage you need to become a great leader.

Are you ready to join The LEADERship?

Since 1983 The Leadership Program of Baltimore has been bringing together area leaders for one purpose – to make good leaders great. Drawn from businesses, non-profits and government each LEADERship class of 50 hand-picked individuals represents the wide diversity that is Baltimore – White, African-American, Hispanic and Asian-American, men and women, city residents and suburbanites – each sharing a common interest in making the Baltimore region the best it can be.

Each class is a year filled with seminars, experimental activities, weekend retreats and meetings with some of the region’s most influential leaders. Program participants come to know their community, themselves and each other – in many ways experiencing the city from a completely new perspective.

Not only are graduates personally enriched by the program, but the community benefits as well. Leadership skills, knowledge of the community, personal contacts and friendships pay dividends long after the formal program ends. LEADERship graduates are strategists-in-training for the future of the region and their involvement in professional and volunteer activities improve the greater Baltimore region in countless ways.
